Intimate Wedding in Pagosa Springs, CO
kara & zach’s intimate wedding at fireside cabins in pagosa springs, colorado
Kara & Zach’s love story is so sweet- they met in high school, and for Zach it was love at first sight. They didn’t date then but reconnected later in life and the sparks flew. They both love the outdoors & have a mountain house in Pagosa Springs so it was a no brainer to celebrate their marriage there. Fireside Cabins in Pagosa is a beautiful venue alongside the river that also offers lodging in cute log cabins. We started the day at their mountain house- the A frame of my dreams! K&Z got ready in different rooms and shared a beautiful first look in front of the house. We had wanted to go up Wolf Creek pass for more photos after this but the weather up there looked dreadful, so we pivoted to the Piedra River overlook which was so beautiful. We got mountain views, a birds eye view of the canyon, and really moody summer weather, but luckily no rain on us!
I am a huge fan of A frame homes and I hope to own one someday. This home is gorgeous, surrounded by pine trees that reflect in the front windows. I loved doing the first look here, and glad their dog could be a part of it!
The Piedra River overlook is such a beautiful spot, I’m so glad we got to go there. Although it is pretty far off the main road, the drive is so worth it. We even stopped on the way to get some photos with the mountains. Looking down on the river beneath pine covered cliffs and exposed rocks was amazing. I also loved getting the perspective looking down
Next we headed to Fireside Cabins to do the ceremony with their closest friends & family. They said their vows & “I do”s beside the river under a beautiful flowered arch. Their dog witnessed every moment & led them back down the aisle at the end. It was such a sweet ceremony and I loved being there to capture it all!
