Western Themed Wedding in Salida, CO

kasia & stephen’s western themed wedding at blue coyote ranch in salida, co

Kasia & Stephen wanted a whole weekend to spend with their loved ones. When you have family coming in from out of town and only one wedding day it’s hard to have the quality time with everyone that you want. Blue Coyote Ranch is a great venue for hosting your family for the weekend and having a beautiful ceremony site with the Sangre de Cristo mountains in the background. Kasia got ready in the main house with their dogs and then we headed down the road to set up their first look. Since the ceremony & family photos would be at Blue Coyote, we thought it would be cool to get a different view for the first look. Heart of the Rockies disc golf course is a 5 minute drive away and has tons of open space as well as a view of the Collegiate Peaks. I set K&S up and they had their special moment of seeing each other for the first time. We really lucked out with weather this day. There’s always a chance of snow in Colorado in April. It did in fact, snow a lot the day before the wedding. But this day the sun shined bright and melted most of the snow on the ground.

We headed back up the road for the ceremony. I loved seeing so many cowboy boots & bolo ties! Luckily the sun was out so it was warm enough to witness K&S say “I do” outside amongst the gorgeous mountains.

After such a beautiful ceremony and some family photos, I took K&S to the river downtown. They love rafting and wanted to get a few photos by the river & S Mountain. Since the reception was downtown we were able to sneak away for a bit before heading there. These two were definitely stoked to have just gotten married!! Such a sweet time together before going to mingle with their guests.

The reception was at A Church in Salida. Beautiful stained glass windows made the dance floor something special. They had a Santana cover band, which was awesome for dancing! What a fun western wedding here in my town.
